Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
The members of the ECE Department provide advice and counsel on curriculum; identify the technical needs of the modern industry, in particular for research, development and continuing education. Undergraduate academic work of the core courses is assessed and the recommendations on the program are taken from the outgoing students, which provide input for program improvement. Alumni meets are organized and input is sought to judge whether what they learned from the program allowed them to perform as we expected. The faculty members, who are at the heart of the assessment process, plan the learning process and deliver courses and labs. They are required to write a reflection on each course they teach, review and close action items accordingly, and also suggest any new action items if appropriate. A Review Committee reviews course portfolios along with the new action items suggested by faculty each term to determine if the action items are appropriate for the next cycle of course offerings.
